The Armour House is one of my favorite venues in the Chicago area and I was so excited to be back for Alexis and Devin’s day. The day was mixed with simple elegant details with modern twists.
Alexis was surrounded by the sweetest and most supportive girls and the guys were relaxed and kind. Alexis wore a custom made wedding gown and incorporated a pop of something blue with her Ted Baker shoes. Devin and Alexis’ father had the same custom made suits for the wedding day as well.
Peonies are Alexis’s favorite flower. She had a whole bouquet of them and wanted to do her first look in the peony garden. The first looks are my favorite moments of the day. I love seeing how each couple interacts with each other. The stress and anxiety melt away from couples once they’re together.
The whole day was absolutely perfect. The weather was ideal June weather, the first looks with the couple and the parents were emotional, and the ceremony was filled from laughter and tears from everyone involved. Seeing how much her mom, sister and bridesmaids beamed with pride was very special. After the ceremony, Devin shared a tearful speech with his bridal party.
The speeches at the reception were no different. It’s always fun hearing about the couple from the perspective of their friends and family. It was an absolutely perfect day that I am so honored to have been a part of!
