SUMMER WEST LOOP ENGAGEMENT SESSION

I had such a great time hanging out with Claire and Kevin for their summer West Loop engagement session. It was the perfect Chicago night. The kind of summer Chicago nights that make you fall in love all over again with the city. If you know, you know.

The Hoxton

Since I always want to ensure my clients’ session reflects them, we planned to start our session at the beautiful lobby bar at The Hoxton. One thing Claire and Kevin love to do is go out for a great meal or some drinks together. So it only seemed fitting to start our session with a drink in hand and some food. And it doesn’t hurt that the interior of The Hoxton is beautiful.

A Modern Love Story

As many would call it, Claire and Kevin are a “Hinge Sucess Story”. They met through the dating app and had their first date in Old Town. Claire said they spent the whole time talking with each other and were eventually asked to leave because they were closing.

Summer West Loop engagement session + Lincoln Park Zoo = Success

After spending time in the West Loop, we went to Lincoln Park Zoo to finish their session and meet their dog, Brooks. (Who is an adorable Boxer). Lincoln Park Zoo is a special spot for Claire and Kevin because it’s where Kevin proposed.

Happy Campers

Claire loves Christmas time. It’s her favorite time of year and it’s the time of year they’ll be getting married this winter. This past winter, Kevin proposed at the Lincoln Park Zoo lights. He then had a party with friends and family to celebrate at Happy Camper.

Perfect Pairing

The two can be food finding new restaurants around town, having informal date nights, taking Brooks on walks around the neighborhood, or out celebrating their loved ones. They described their relationship as two best friends who have the perfect balance of similarities and differences and don’t take themselves too seriously. And I couldn’t agree more. It was clear that the two always have fun together and are the perfect pair. And I cannot wait to celebrate them this December for their Chicago Athletic Association wedding!
