Erin and Matt’s City Winery wedding in Chicago was filled with joy and beautiful moments. You can tell Erin and Matt deeply love and care about all those around them and that the feelings are mutual. It was an honor and privilege to be a part of their day.
Getting Ready
They both got ready downtown at the Renaissance on Wacker. Erin spent time in the morning with her bridesmaids and parents. Since her grandma could no longer make the wedding last minute, Erin spent a few moments after getting ready on FaceTime with her grandma to show her the dress and share well wishes.
A Modern Love Story
Erin and Matt met the best modern way to find a potential spouse, through Bumble. On their first date, they went to an arcade bar and hit it off immediately. A first date turned into a second date for a home-cooked meal and then a third date for a small get-together for Matt’s birthday that turned out to be a surprise party unbeknownst to either of them. And now a lifetime of dates to go. After a few years of games, dinners, and spending time with family and friends, Matt proposed to Erin at the Lincoln Park Zoo lights and celebrated back at their apartment with family and siblings.
First Look
Erin and Matt shared a sweet first look together. Before the first look, Erin joked with her girlfriends that Matt would probably sing when he saw her because “he’s always making up silly songs about what he’s doing around the house.”. Matt was elated to see Erin. I mean, how could he not? She looked stunning and classic in her gown. We spent time downtown around Michigan Ave and Wacker for portraits of the two of them and their wedding party.
City Winery Wedding Chicago
The ceremony and reception were at City Winery, located down in the Fulton Market area of the city. They had an outdoor ceremony on their patio where Matt’s brother-in-law married them. It’s always so special watching my couples’ loved ones beam with joy as they watch the couple get married.
Summer Weather
Guests spent the rest of the night enjoying the beautiful summer weather outdoors for cocktail hour. They then were invited into their reception space for dinner and dancing. My favorite part was watching Erin’s grandpa take photos and videos all night so he could share the day with her grandma when he got home.
Thank you, Erin and Matt, for including me in your love-filled day. I wish you many happy moments to come!
