Chicago Club Winter Wedding

What could be more magical than a wedding? A wedding at Christmas! Weddings tend to bring their own kind of romantic energy and magic, whereas Christmas is often the highlight of the winter season and brings a whole different kind of warmth, togetherness, and holiday magic. The combination of the two was perfection! Kevin and Claire’s Chicago Club winter wedding was a dream. Between the festive decorations and the love surrounding this amazing couple, it was a night filled with an overflow of laughter and joy.

Claire and Kevin are such a fun and goofy couple who truly enjoy each other. They both wore the biggest smiles all day! Kevin proposed to Claire last winter at Lincoln Park Zoo lights, so it comes at no surprise that Claire loves Christmas and the entire holiday season. Having a Christmas wedding was a dream come true for her. She wanted the entire wedding experience to be relaxing and enjoyable for everyone. The couple rented out the entire club for their wedding so that their guests could stay and enjoy themselves.

While winter in Chicago can be down right frigid, their winter wedding day wasn’t too cold allowing us to capture gorgeous outdoor wedding portraits. Claire’s Mira Zwillinger wedding gown was absolutely stunning and I loved her white fur shawl that she wore during portraits. Her bridal bouquet featured red and white flowers, with sprigs of evergreen – festive and beautiful!

The Chicago Club is a beautiful, private wedding venue. An elegantly decorated Christmas tree greeted guests as they entered. Smaller, classically decorated Christmas trees were placed around the room where the couple exchanged their wedding vows. The ceremony Christmas trees were donated after the wedding to local families without trees. Kevin and Claire are both incredibly thoughtful and generous, and I loved that even on their big day, they were still thinking of others.

Once Kevin and Claire were pronounced husband and wife, everyone moved to the bar area for cocktail hour, where Claire’s family Christmas punch was served. Claire also surprised Kevin with a Miller Lite Christmas bar, as he loves his go-to beer, Miller Lite. The bar featured Miller Lite Christmas decor and free Miller Lite Christmas merch. It was such a fun surprise!

Their design was a beautiful blend of luxury Harrods and Ralph Lauren meets Christmas vibe. Floral centerpieces reminiscent of the bridal bouquet sat in the middle of tables covered in dark green, velvet tablecloths, along with plaid details, festive treats like gingerbread man cookies, and even a life-size Harrods bear.

The couple love the movie Love Actually and featured a lot of music from the movie. Guests danced the night away in their Santa hats on the custom dance floor, featuring the crest seen on their wedding invitation which had their dog, Brooks, on it!

Kevin and Claire truly made this wedding their own, infusing so many special details and personal touches. It was an honor to capture their Chicago Club winter wedding and all the joy that filled their big day.
