Photographing meaningful events and the connection between people will never get old. It was such a joy to photograph this Gold Coast 40th Birthday Party, thrown by Joe and Justin, an amazing couple who live in the city. They threw a joint 40th birthday party for Joe and his close friend, Trevor, with about 50 of their closest friends and family present for this beautiful summer evening event.
Gold Coast 40th Birthday Party
Guests arrived at sunset on the warm July evening, enjoying cocktails, conversation, and appetizers by Boka. From the patio, guests enjoyed stunning views of the Gold Coast at sunset. Stunning greenery and design inspired by the Italian Riviera transformed the outdoor patio area of this private Chicago residence. Revel Decor, who also designed Joe and Justin’s wedding 5 years ago, planned and executed everything for this Chicago Gold Coast event. The green vines, muted tones, and casual dining set up was perfect for this intimate event.
The night was filled with laughter and joy – Justin and Joe are truly amazing hosts. They made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. The 40th birthday party featured toasts, or “roasts” rather, which was followed by an evening out on the patio to enjoy the summer night and dancing. It was important to Joe and Justin to have photos of this beautiful event and design, but more importantly, of the people who came to celebrate and enjoy the evening.
Joe and Justin know how to throw a party. Everyone had a wonderful time in the relaxed and intimate atmosphere. It was such an honor to capture this event and all the people who attended.
