When it comes to your engagement session, you want to make sure your photos reflect you and your partner. Gone are the days of doing the same old, same old. It is essential to get with my clients to make sure this session is fresh, fun, exciting, and feels like theirs.
When it came to Morgan and Blake’s session, a downtown Charleston engagement session perfectly fit the two of them. Both Morgan and Blake live and work in the city and spend lots of their time together exploring what it has to offer.
Hotel Emeline + Frannie & the Fox
We started their session at Hotel Emeline’s restaurant, Frannie & The Fox. Hotel Emeline is a cute boutique hotel in Charleston with the best chic and modern interior design. And their restaurant is no different (and has fantastic food too). Pair that with Morgan and Blake’s chemistry, and it made for such a beautiful session. It feels as if they were the only two there at the restaurant. I’m always looking to make sessions fun and comfortable for my clients. So we started with their drinks of choice and fun conversation to lighten the mood and get them ready to be photographed.
Exploring Charleston
Once we finished our drinks, we explored downtown more, walking East Bay Street and Broad. When exploring Charleston, you’ll always find beautiful and charming little pockets. One girl passing even looked at her friends and said, “Awh, look. They’re so cute. Are they on a first date?” Now that’s a session going right!
I always enjoy photographing beautiful, sweet couples in this charming, historical city in the southeast. I’m always looking for excuses to head to Charleston, and I was so honored this time it was to photograph these two. We had such a great time talking and enjoying this beautiful spring night downtown. I can’t wait to travel there again!
