2020, as we all know, was not nice to the wedding industry. With canceled weddings, date (and vendor!) changes, and working around health regulations, creating beautiful moments to capture on film was no easy task. I, along with several of my vendor friends, decided to design a Chicago bridal editorial shoot to capture, just for fun! And I can’t tell you what a joy it was to be creative with some of my favorite vendors to work with.
Girls Just Want To Have Fun
Our goal for this shoot was simple: have fun and be creative. And have fun we did! But on top of the overall goal of the shoot, we also had goals for the visual look of the project. We selected the looks for the day to create a classic chic bridal look and a romantic classic bridal look. Our selection of the Stockhouse is ideal for our Chicago bridal editorial shoot because of its clean walls, fun industrial vibe, and views of the city from its rooftop.
Dresses, Dresses, Dresses
Our dress selections for our Chicago bridal editorial shoot could not have been more perfect! Our first selection, seen in the section above, is by Jenny Yoo. Jenny Yoo is ALL about that modern, feminine, classically-chic bridal moment.
The next two dresses we selected are by newcomer Susan Samway. Susan is the owner behind Simply Luxe , one of my absolute favorite bridal shops in the Chicago area. Susan Samway’s new line, as well as her custom creations, are available exclusively through Simply Luxe, creating a one-stop-shop for that simple, elegant and classic look that our brides desire.

Our vendor team for our Chicago bridal editorial shoot was rounded out by some of my absolute faves in the industry. Hair by Tamara Holden Hair, Makeup by Joanna B. Artistry , and florals by always on-point Willrett Flower Co.
