Summer University Club of Chicago Wedding

Olivia and John are one of those couples with a love that is sweet and soft. And the wedding day was exactly that. The two of them were married in the summer at Assumption Catholic Church followed by a beautiful summer University Club of Chicago wedding reception – an iconic Chicago location! It was such a beautiful day to be a part of.

Pre-Wedding

Both Olivia and John got ready for their day at the University Club of Chicago. It’s always great from a logistics standpoint to have both parties in close proximity! They had their first look there as well. I have to admit, as a photographer, that I love when couples opt for a first look. It always keeps the day moving smoothly and allows couples to truly immerse themselves in their day and enjoy every aspect. We followed up the first look with portraits around the stunning venue with stops like the library and the rooftop. Portraits, including the wedding party, concluded at the Art Institute – a gorgeous backdrop!

Summer University Club of Chicago Wedding

Olivia and John’s summer University Club of Chicago wedding started with a traditional church ceremony followed by a cocktail hour, then their reception in the hall. Overall, this was a fun day filled with many beautiful details and touching personal moments. My favorites? Olivia’s friend (and bridesmaid!) sang their first dance song – a moment they will always remember, I’m sure! And the sweetest moment was when Olivia’s father pointed out her adorable dimples in his welcome speech. In fact, those dimples were the first thing the nurse said to him about his new daughter! This was really a great day from start to finish!
