Butterfield Country Club Fall Wedding

I had the joy of capturing Maddie and Joe’s beautiful and sunny, early October wedding at Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook, Illinois. Their day was infused with personal touches, heartfelt moments, and an atmosphere of love and joy as family and friends gathered to celebrate Maddie and Joe. Like most weddings, their day began with anticipation and excitement as Maddie prepared for her walk down the aisle in the comfort of her childhood home in Hinsdale. Maddie’s beloved cat even joined in on the wedding preparations!

Emotions ran high throughout the day, with tender father-daughter moments stealing hearts – from the emotional first look to the heartfelt speech delivered by Maddie’s father, filled with love, pride, and cherished memories. Maddie herself expressed her gratitude to her parents through a heartfelt note to them both, acknowledging the profound impact they had on her life and the joy of this momentous occasion.

Maddie and Joe’s love story traces back to their days at Indiana University, where their paths intertwined. Maddie’s bubbly, friendly, and outgoing nature found its perfect counterpart in Joe’s quiet, calm, and sweet demeanor. Their wedding reflected their timeless love, with a classic white and green color scheme complemented by the bridesmaids’ mix-matched black dresses, adding a contemporary, chic twist to the traditional palette. Maddie, in her off-shoulder wedding dress with her hair swept up in a low bun, was the picture of elegance. Her bridal bouquet consisted of a classic mixture of white roses, smaller white flowers, and greenery.

As the sun bathed the surroundings in golden hues, Maddie and Joe exchanged personal vows in a heartfelt, outdoor ceremony. Throughout their wedding day one thing that stood out was the way they lit up when they looked at each other. To see the way their faces transformed with pure joy and love whenever their eyes met was so sweet to witness.

Their day continued to unfold in the picturesque setting of Butterfield Country Club. Guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour on the beautiful grounds. They both come from big, fun families that I absolutely loved spending time with and getting to know. I even saw a former wedding couple there, which I later found out was Joe’s cousin – such a small world!

As the sun began to set and the air grew chilly, everyone moved inside the stunning event space for the reception. Their classic and timeless wedding vision continued with white linens, beautiful florals, and elegant decor. Flickering white candles created a romantic atmosphere as the newlyweds shared their first dance, listened to heartwarming speeches and toasts, and celebrated with their loved ones.
