Spring Wedding at Chicago Winery

I’m so excited to share Colette and Gentry’s Spring Wedding at Chicago Winery! Their wedding weekend was a beautiful blend of timeless elegance and lively tradition, set against the vibrant energy of downtown Chicago. They planned their big day over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, which meant there were lots of people out and about celebrating, but it just added to the fun and energy of the weekend. The weather was also wonderful for mid-March with sunshine and warmer temps, we couldn’t have asked for a better spring weekend in Chicago! Between the effortlessly stylish couple, classic details, a couple fun surprises, and a stunning venue, Colette and Gentry’s wedding was unforgettable.

A Weekend Welcome with a View

The festivities kicked off the night before the wedding with their rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Marshall’s Landing, located inside the iconic Merchandise Mart. With sweeping views of the city skyline and a warm, modern vibe, it was the perfect spot to welcome guests, especially those traveling from out of town. The evening included dinner, heartfelt toasts, and mingling with friends and family. They even had a traditional folk band perform, setting the tone for a weekend full of celebration, connection, and a little Irish flair.

Getting Ready at The Langham

On the morning of the wedding, Colette and Gentry got ready with their closest friends and family at The Langham Chicago, one of the city’s most luxurious hotels. Tucked along the river, The Langham’s bright, elegant suites created the perfect backdrop as they all got wedding ready.

Colette was the picture of timeless bridal beauty in a classic white gown that featured a big bow detail in the back. So elegant. Her bouquet, along with the rest of the floral design, was a fresh mix of white blooms and lush greenery.

Colette and Gentry shared a sweet and private first look before heading to the Wrigley Building for portraits. With its gleaming white stone façade and classic architecture, the Wrigley Building is a beautiful spot in the city, and was a stunning backdrop to their wedding photos. Add in the warm weather, golden sun, and the buzz of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations all around, and the city felt alive and full of joy, mirroring the energy these two radiated together.

Their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all held at Chicago Winery, a newer wedding venue located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. The venue features a modern, sophisticated style and warm hospitality. Colette and Gentry’s wedding showcased exactly why it’s becoming such a sought-after spot.

The winery’s interior includes beautiful wood finishes, contemporary lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. This Chicago venue is perfect for couples who love the idea of hosting all their events in one place.

Colette’s best friend officiated their ceremony, which added such a heartfelt, personal layer to their vows. Their sweet pup also joined in the fun at the altar. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour as the space was flipped for dinner and dancing. They even had special green cocktails in honor of St. Patrick’s Day!

During the reception, Colette and Gentry had a fun St. Patrick’s Day surprise for their guests! Shannon Rovers, a beloved Chicago-based Irish pipe band made a surprise appearance and wowed the crowd. The room came alive with the sound of bagpipes and drums! Then, Colette (giving the people what they wanted!) joined in with her sister and cousin for a quick Irish dance. This was definitely a highlight of their wedding day! It was a moment that I am sure was a favorite among guests.
