Emily and Joe’s classic and romantic wedding at River Forest Country Club in Elmhurst, IL was a dream! Their summer wedding day was filled with intention – from the timeless touches and modern details to the way the couple interacted with each other and their guests. The thing I loved the most was watching Emily and Joe’s connection and love towards each other throughout the day. They truly immersed themselves in the day, making sure to live and enjoy every moment. Not only that but their family and friends who surrounded them were equally as sweet and kind.
Before the ceremony, the two shared a first look outside. Up above, family members and their wedding party watched and celebrated them from a balcony. First looks are always a favorite part of the day to capture because of the genuine emotions shared.
For their wedding design, they chose a color palette that was white, soft romantic tones, and delicate touches of blue. Emily had her bridesmaids choose their own unique dresses, which all came together beautifully. Classic white flower bouquets surrounded by greenery accented their individual looks. Emily’s gown was a beautiful chic and clean wedding gown by Sarah Seven that was paired with a low romantic updo and the brightest smile.
Their wedding day reflected Emily and Joe’s personalities and values. Surrounded by their loved ones, they married at Immaculate Conception Church in Elmhurst, which held significance as a family church. Their faith is important, and they included and honored their faith throughout the day.
Classic and Romantic Wedding
After saying I do, the newlyweds and their guests, dressed in formal attire, headed to the beautiful River Forest Country Club to celebrate. Tall, white floral centerpieces and white candles flickering with light, added a romantic touch to the evening. Their vision of a wedding that included greenery and natural beauty was brought to life with the decor and the beautiful setting!
Later in the evening, we snuck away outside for a few golden hour photos and for the two of them to have a moment to soak everything in. They have a natural way about them and aren’t afraid to show their admiration for each other in front of the camera. I love that they were comfortable and allowed themselves to have fun during portraits. The golden glow from the sunset was just the icing on the cake!
Emily and Joe wanted their wedding photos to be timeless, romantic, and candid, perfectly aligning with my photography approach. Their gentle, supportive, and sweet love is a narrative I aimed to translate into every image.
Emily and Joe, capturing your gorgeous wedding day was an absolute honor. I hope these images will serve as a reminder of the love you share and allow you to enjoy and relive this happy day for years to come — and share it with future generations!
