All weddings are special, beautiful, and unique in their own ways. I capture each wedding based on the vision of my clients and the moments that matter most to them. For this amazing couple, Alex and Jeremy, they wanted a full and relaxed wedding weekend. Their two day wedding weekend began with an intimate Gold Coast wedding ceremony. Day one of their wedding celebration started with wedding portraits around the Gold Coast. Alex wore a short, clean white dress with a long cape skirt in the back. The cape skirt billowed around her as the pair walked along the streets of Gold Coast Chicago.
Intimate Gold Coast Wedding Ceremony
After their portraits, they had a ketubah signing followed by their intimate ceremony that included less than 40 guests, consisting of their closest family and friends. One of their best friends played the piano for the ceremony, which was beautiful. As the couple exchanged their vows and were pronounced husband and wife, the joy on their faces was priceless.
Following the ceremony, the couple had an extended cocktail hour where additional guests joined in the celebration. Then, they had dinner with speeches at Gibsons Italia Steakhouse, an iconic restaurant in the area that features a casual elegance and an intimate atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to celebrate the newlyweds.
Alex and Jeremy chose not to have a wedding party, as they wanted to focus on themselves during their wedding weekend and keep things relaxed. However, they still found ways to include those closest to them who would have been in the wedding party. Jeremy’s parents gave a speech and many of their friends also gave heartfelt speeches about the newlyweds as individuals and as a couple, showing how loved they both are. Everyone spoke about the couple’s kindness, their fun personalities, how perfectly matched they are, and how important they are to each of them. Alex and Jeremy also gave a thank you speech, which was incredibly sweet. You could tell how much this evening meant to them and how happy they were to share it with everyone in attendance.
The evening was filled with laughter, tears, and heartfelt moments. It was a great preview to the fun that was going to be had the next day at their marriage celebration at City Hall! I can’t wait to share part two of their wedding weekend.
