Chic Chicago Wedding Celebration

I had the privilege of capturing the magic of this Alex and Jeremy’s unforgettable Chic Chicago Wedding Celebration at City Hall Chicago Events. Since these two officially tied the knot the day before at their intimate Gold Coast ceremony, the day of their grand celebration was slow and relaxed. They took their time getting ready together at the Nobu Hotel in the West Loop. This luxurious hotel is a favorite of mine and was the perfect, tranquil environment for these newlyweds to get ready.

Alex and Jeremy’s focus for their wedding weekend was enjoyment. They wanted to savor each moment together and ensure their guests had a good time, enjoying the food, dancing, and celebrating, which is what led them to have an intimate ceremony and dinner the day before this wedding celebration. It allowed them to focus on each other and spend ample time with their loved ones.

Since they kept everything simple and opted to not have a wedding party, after the couple were in their wedding attire, we had plenty of time to walk around the west loop and capture photos and wedding portraits. Alex’s strapless wedding dress was chic and elegant with a high leg slit and a cinched waist.

Everyone came ready to celebrate the newlyweds and had such a wonderful time, which was exactly what the couple wanted. Kehoe Designs and team member Mathew Lahey did a wonderful job creating a stunning reception design. The florals transformed the space with bunches of white flowers suspended from the ceiling making it feel like guests were dining under a chic canopy of clouds. Elegant, white floral arrangements also decorated the center of the tables. The elegant and enchanting design complemented the industrial character of the wedding venue. Their escort card display that sported their custom A+J logo, which was used throughout the weekend by Steracle Press, was another feature I loved.

As guests arrived for cocktail hour they were able to walk around and take in the stunning event space, mingle, and enjoy amazing food and drinks by Entertaining Company. Once guests were seated for dinner, family and close friends gave heartfelt speeches, which were reminiscent of the night before as people gushed about how amazing the they both are, causing laughter to float through the room, as well as a few tears.

A Night to Remember

Lastly, after the Horrah, guests danced their little hearts away to the tunes of Gold Coast Allstars – one of my favorite Chicago wedding bands! The group that gathered to celebrate the newlyweds was so much FUN. The dance floor was packed all night and even the bride got up on stage! Everyone truly let go and had the best time ever. Halfway during the party, Alex did an outfit swap into a cute, white dress that featured a fun skirt for twirling around, and a comfortable pair of Nike sneakers.

This amazing couple was an absolute joy to work with; they were so kind, easy going, and fun. I thoroughly enjoyed spending the weekend with them and their loved ones, celebrating this exciting moment in their lives. Their entire wedding weekend was filled with intention. There was no stress or rushing – just a calm, relaxed, and enjoyable time that flowed effortlessly and was filled with so much love, gratitude, and beauty.
