There’s something so inspiring about watching a creative vision come to life! I had the honor of capturing this Amelia Cole Events Editorial at Sunset Studio Chicago and it was the perfect example of what happens when thoughtful design meets intentional storytelling. Set inside the modern and light-filled Sunset Studio Chicago, this colorful editorial shoot was more than just a beautiful setup. This editorial was part of a special feature on CBS Chicago’s Destination channel, highlighting the incredible talent behind Amelia Cole Events, led by the amazing Regina DiTomassi.

The beautiful table setup Regina curated included vibrant florals and elegant table details. This shoot was a stunning representation of Regina’s style and dedication that she brings to each event. Sunset Studio Chicago provided a perfect blank canvas for a creative project like this. Featuring soft natural light and minimal design, it allowed every color from the vibrant florals and details to stand out without distraction.

Since Regina was being interviewed and featured for CBS, she wanted to create a design that not only reflected her company’s style but also photographed beautifully on camera. The end result was a vibrant, fresh, and bold tablescape filled with layers of color, texture, and elegance.

The foundation was a deep blue linen, grounding the entire setup and allowing the other colors to pop. Flickering coral and teal taper candles brought a hint of romance, while lush floral arrangements in shades of orange and pink cascaded naturally across the table, drawing the eye in and creating dynamic visual interest from every angle.

Each place setting was styled with dark green napkins, tied together with charming golden bee napkin rings. It was a small but unforgettable detail. Paired with gold flatware, an elegant menu with a gold wax seal, and coordinating glassware, the overall look was both intentional and elevated.

It was such a joy to photograph the finished design and witness the collaboration and attention to detail that each creative poured into the project.

From the custom menus and paper goods by XO Design Co., to the perfectly chosen tableware from The Festive Frog and linens from BBJ La Tavola, every vendor elevated the experience and helped bring the editorial vision to life.

Regina’s dedication to her craft and the heart she pours into each of her designs truly sets her apart. Being asked to photograph a behind-the-scenes moment of her story being told on CBS was an honor, and I know this is only the beginning of even bigger things for Amelia Cole Events.
